How to Choose the Right Set of Electronic Drums: Four Important Factors to Consider

Surely there is no one who does not enjoy some sort of music. No matter what country he may belong to and no matter what language it may, there may be extremely few people who do not like to listen to some sort of music or other. Rather than buy an album just because you love one particular song in it, you can today select individual songs from various albums and create your own playlist and you will have just the songs that you would love to hear all the time.

Finding Electric Guitars for Sale

If you're a drummer you will know how hard it can be to find time for practicing. Drum sets are so big that you generally can't fit them in your house and they generally end up stored in your band room. The fact that drum kits are also rather noisy can also make it fairly difficult to find time to practice without disturbing anyone.

Real Housewives Of New Jersey Already Bringing The Drama! Teresa Punched In The Face!

If this is the kind of crazy for which we're in store in season three, then who needs Danielle Staub? Holy hell!

Teen Mom stars Amber Portwood and Gary Shirley! (Hide ya kids! Hide ya wife!)

Supposedly, the MTV reality pair are heading out our way, to El Lay, to shoot some stuff for the show and have decided that while they're already here, they might as well look for a place to settle down.

Anderson, IN not living up to its wild-party namesake, kids???

According to sources, the pair are "working" to get their relationship back on track and think this movie might bring them closer together and back to be being a family. The source adds:

"They want to start a new life together and moving to LA would be the best way to start over. And of course it would also really help with their future projects like book deals, a clothing line and more television."

Ah! And another Hollywood dream is born in the minds of Z-list reality stars.

Just one quick question, though, before you pack up tchotchkes and peace out - Are ya'll even allow to leave Indiana?

Seriously! Isn't Amber still in a lot of legal drama right now for, oh geez what did she do again…oh yeah, punching you in the face, Gary??? How quickly we all forget when there is money to be made!

P.S. - Where is you baby? Is someone raising her???

Les Chansons Des Perverts 16 Super Hits

Rockabilly was a uniquely American invention. The music grew out of the rich diversity of American musical forms of the first half of the 20th century. Blues, country, gospel, rhythm and blues, and even elements of jazz could be said to have come together and manifested themselves in a wild new type of music that came to be called rockabilly. The development of rock and roll and rockabilly can be considered among America's proudest accomplishments. But if it hadn't have been for the British, rockabilly might not be the vibrant and living musical art form that it is today, almost 60 years after it first hit the pop, country, and R&B charts.

She sure as hell didn't have a great night!

Who shot JR? Forget that:

WHO DID JR SHOOT?!

After a 41-year run, All My Children faded to black today - literally - airing it's last broadcast episode on ABC. While many other soaps that have been canned in recent years felt the need to wrap up all of their stories for their legions of fans, AMC did quite the opposite.

The show's finale found the entire cast gathered for a farewell welcome home party. In the final moments of the episode, the incomparable Erica Kane, played by Susan Lucci, got the last words of the series, vowing to to go after the love of her life, Jack, who gave her the old Clark Gable heave-hoe one last time.

But just as she makes haste for true love, a drunken J.R. appears from the shadows, pointing a gun at the crowded room, filled to brim with all of Pine Valley's residents.

The gun goes off and then, then ... well, see for yourself!

Enjoy television history as we present to you that last ten minutes of All My Children ever to air on network TV (above).

We'll say this: we would have liked it better with a little Journey playing in the background!

Thoughts? Did U tune in the for the final AMC?

Two and a Half Men is still winning in the ratings department, getting CBS into the top position for the night, but House still debuted strong for Fox!

Here be the numbers, guys:

CBS shows were the night's four top-rated. "How I Met Your Mother" at 8 scored a 4.5/12 in the revered 18-49 demo, making it the night's second highest-rated show, and 10.5 million total viewers. "2 Broke Girls" at 8:30 was third with a 4.4/11 and 11.4 million. "Men" had a 6.1/14, down 18 percent from its second episode last week, but was still higher-rated than last season's average episode. It had 17.3 million total viewers.

Hmmm, sounds like the MaSheen leaving wasn't such a downfall, was it?

And it's good to see that House is still showing good numbers this late in its life. Especially with the bizarre opener where House was in prison.

Watch: The Ringer Discussion Panel At 2011 San Diego Comic Con

The new CW TV series Ringer, which stars Sarah Michelle Gellar and will debut this Fall, was well-represented this year at 2011 San Diego Comic-Con … which means we got a lot of goodies to enjoy. First we got a couple of amazing promo posters, then we got a new trailer for the show … [...]

David and I were able to see the new musical Tales Of The City currently in production here in San Francisco, CA and despite not having read any reviews about the show we were very excited to see the show. I’m a HUGE fan of the original PBS miniseries Tales Of The City and hold the characters created by Armistead Maupin very near and dear to my heart. I was hoping to love the show … and thankfully, that’s exactly what I did :D

Because the original books and miniseries are so well done and beloved by fans, there was concern that the musical may not measure up. For the most part, Tales Of The City the musical really holds on to the original spirit of the stories and presents the characters in a very respectful way. The music, written by Jake Shears from Scissor Sisters, is actually quite good. Some of the songs could use a bit more work but for the most part, they do compliment the story very well. There is a song for the Michael Mouse Tolliver character where he reads (sings) a coming out letter to his mother … it’s heartbreakingly touching … it actually made me cry. The show has so much heart and is really fun. The staging is very inventive. If you are familiar with the way 28 Barbary Lane looks in the miniseries, you will be pleasantly surprised how much the stage version of the house comes to life with the same look and feel. The acting was superb … really. I loved every single actor on that stage. I hope this show makes it to Broadway … I think it might do very well. I believe Tales Of The City is one of the most charming stories out there … and this new musical is a charming NEW way to experience the drama and fun at 28 Barbary Lane. The show is being performed until July 31 so those of you here in SF have a few more days to see it … DO NOT miss it, I beg of you. This show should be experience in the city it is set in. You won’t be sorry, I’m sure of it.

This is so horrible and so sad.

A bomb went off in Oslo, Norway today, ripping through buildings including the Prime Minister's office.

Horribly, that's not the only incident. Just outside the city, a man dressed as a police officer opened fire at youngsters at a youth camp connected to the ruling party.

It looks like the situations are connected, and sadly it has left at least 7 dead and more injured.

Police Inspector Bjoern Erik Sem-Jacobsen said a suspect in the shooting has been arrested. He said the gunman, who was dressed as a police officer, pulled out a gun and started firing into the crowd of youths. There were unconfirmed reports that five people were wounded in that shooting.

A square in Oslo, where the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded, was covered in twisted metal, shattered glass and documents expelled from surrounding buildings, which house government offices and the headquarters of some of Norway's leading newspapers. Most of the windows in the 20-floor high-rise where Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg and his administration work were shattered.

The damage in downtown Oslo was the result of "two or more bombs," but there aren't many specifics yet.

The Prime Minister, Jens Stoltenberg, who was working from home today luckily, has urged the country not to be afraid, because this kind of violence strives to strike fear.

We support that thought, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't show caution. Be alert and BE SAFE!

It's just absolutely despicable that things like this happen, and there are humans out there capable of doing it. Absolutely atrocious.

Our thoughts go out to everyone who has been rocked by this horrible happening.

Yuck.

We're very sad to report that Casey Anthony's lawyer, Jose Baez, is negotiating with NBC, ABC, and CBS to determine who will pay the most for the female OJ's first exclusive interview!

According to sources, there is a "big price tag for the interview," they are also offering to license photos and other material, and so far, it seems like ABC and NBC are the frontrunners, with the latter taking the lead.

As much as we're aware how high-profile this case was, we're pretty disgusted to think that this woman is managing to make a profit off of her child's murder, and worse yet, that these networks are willing to pay her to do so.

We'd personally prefer that she just disappear and leave the public eye forever, but we doubt that's going to happen for a very long time.

So sad.

How horrible!!!

A 39-year-old man is currently being tried for allegedly killing his mother after she refused to get him premium skybox tickets to an Avril Lavigne concert.

Prosecutors say that when Linda Bolek wouldn't call a friend and arrange for him to get the skybox tickets, the man, Robert Lyons, went "ballistic" and beat and stabbed the 61-year-old woman to death.

His defense attorney claims that he has bipolar disorder and was "provoked" into doing it after she held a knife to his face during a heated argument. She said:

"This defendant was so angry with his mother that he bludgeoned and repeatedly stabbed her in a fit of rage.

She threatened to stab him in the eye. That reaction was not intended, that reaction was not planned."

He then poured several household chemicals over her body, changed his clothes, went shopping, and was arrested hours later at Hooters.

W...T...F...???

Bipolar or not, provoked or not, this man clearly needs to be locked up. What a terrible and tragic story. And all for a pair of Avril tickets... Really?!?

Tuners Making Your Ukulele Sound Great

Whether you are looking at bass drums, tom-toms, or snare drums, several common elements affect the sound of the drum. These include the size of the shell, the thickness of the shell, the type of wood used for the shell, and how much stuff is hanging from or poking through the drum. Beyond the drum itself, you also need to consider what types of heads are used and how the drums are tuned.

How to Evaluate a Drum

I really don't need to delve very much into Iron Maiden's influence on rock and metal music. Their stellar career has brought us more than 20 releases, including live albums, videos, studio records and even some documentaries on the band. Coming up with a best Iron Maiden album is a hard task in itself, so trying to make a short list of their best songs is a lot harder. I'm willing to give it a try, but I'll do it by picking what I consider to be the best song of each release. This will include only the studio records, without considering the singles and live albums. Here we go!!

Former Friends star Matthew Perry has released a statement announcing that he will be going away for a while in order to work on his addictions. Altho Perry‘s people insist that he has not suffered a relapse, they make clear that this month-long stint in rehab is part of his on-going recovery. You may know that Perry returned to TV recently in the ABC series Mr. Sunshine, so it’s possible that he is just making sure he stays clean so that he can return to the show when the new TV season starts up in the Fall.

Matthew Perry, who has struggled with prescription pills and alcohol in the past, is going back to a treatment facility as part of his ongoing recovery. The Friends star, 41, confirms the move in a statement that ends with a Chandler Bing-style dry quip. “I’m making plans to go away for a month to focus on my sobriety and to continue my life in recovery,” he says. “Please enjoy making fun of me on the World Wide Web.” Perry, who most recently appeared in Mr. Sunshine on ABC, was in rehab twice in 2001 and 1997. A source tells PEOPLE, “There was no relapse,” and that the actor plans to enter the facility shortly.

Making a joke in an announcement about rehab is a sure defense mechanism … but it also seems to imply that Matthew is trying to keep things as normal as possible by staying in control. Addiction is a lifelong battle and I wish him nothing but the greatest success. Here’s hoping his month away will foster his sobriety and afford him the fortitude to keep his addictions in check.

Learning to Feel the Music Your Guitar Makes

I've written a lot of articles recently on the topic of rockabilly. Throughout the past couple of months I've forced myself to think about the music, to learn about the music, to feel the music, to hear the music, and to write about the music. Why? What would prompt me to spend so much of my time putting all these thoughts together about a genre of music that had its fleeting moment of glory for a few short years almost 60 years ago and was all but forgotten as quickly as it burst upon the music scene? Good question.

Alice Greczyn Named New Face Of Poshs Line At BBQ!

Talk about a lucky break!! This beautiful girl was chilling poolside at a BBQ in Malibu and when Victoria Beckham spotted her, and named her the new face of her fashion line! Alice Greczyn is a model turned actress, so she does have some experience in Hollywood. And it was probably the reason she was at this BBQ anyway. But non-the less, it was still a huge break for her! She just happened to be lying by the pool in a bikini when Posh spotted her and began talking to her about her freckles. She then had David come over and snap a picture, before exchanging agent’s numbers to set up an appointment. She said, Amazingly I wasn’t nervous. She’s lovely and he’s such a gentleman – although it tickled me that David Beckham was taking my picture.’ Victoria was quite pleased with her discovery saying, ‘I’m always on the lookout for inspiring girls and I believe in fate, so meeting Alice was meant to be. She embodies the spirit of my denim, is naturally beautiful and a perfect fit for the collection. I loved finding Alice – a young fresh talent.’ In fact, Posh was so pleased with Alice, [...]
